Fire Protecting Junctions and Connections Between Elements.
Obtaining Reports from an Accredited Testing Laboratory which determine the field of application and Fire Resistance Levels (FRL's) for Walls, Floors, Floor Ceilings, Structural Beams and Columns is a requirement to meet compliance with the NCC. However, obtaining a Report which determines the FRL of the Junctions, Connections and Joints of the individual components is a Critical Requirement which is sometimes overlooked and unfortunately never addressed or justified.
Tested Systems using TBA Firefly™ Penowrap®
Our TBA Firefly™ Penowrap® has been proven by test to protect the aluminium or steel connector plates & gaps at the junctions between:
CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) Walls
CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) Floors
GLT (Glulam Laminated Timber) Columns
GLT (Glulam Laminated Timber) Beams
LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) Beams
LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) Columns
For a Fire Resistance Level of up to FRL120/-/-
