TBA Firefly™ AS5113 Facade Systems with EW Classification

AS5113 Classification EW

AS5113 is a 3 story full scale fire Test. This is a whole system Test which has 9 x PASS/FAIL criteria, All 9 Criteria must pass in order to achieve an EW Classification. In order to meet this performance pathway the whole Tested System must be used on your building, nothing can be removed or substituted by a fire engineer or any other expert. This Test may use combustible and non-combustible products, the Performance is met by achieving an EW Classification in accordance with CV3 of the NCC to automatically meet the performance requirement CP2.

AS5113 FACADE TEST EW CLASSIFICATION

The table below shows an EW Classification. TBA Firefly™ have 3 of these which utilise TBA Firefly™ combustible and non-combustible products, but not using the TBA Firefly™ ASP solid aluminium panel.

 

There are currently only 7 of these available in the market the other 193 Plus Systems tested all failed to achieve an EW Classification.

 

 

WE HAVE 4 AS5113 FACADE REPORTS

3 of which achieved an EW Classification and used TBA Firefly™ products.

 

  • TBA Firefly™ (with Inex cladding) This System achieves an EW Classification + BB Classification
  • TBA Firefly™ (with Aodeli steel composite cladding-steel outers with Aluminium Inner waffle core 4.2kgm2) This System achieves an EW Classification.
  • TBA Firefly™ (with Fairview steel composite cladding-steel outers with mineral core 8.2kgm2) This System achieves an EW Classification. (for our UK market) This Test also incorporated PIR Highly Combustible Insulation similar to that used on the Grenfell Tower.

The 4th did not achieve an EW Classification.

  • Test was carried out with CFC (from one of the well-known Australian manufacturers-fixed to cyclone standards) combustible sarking with a Flammability Index of 5 or less and PIR Insulation plus mineral wool cavity fire barriers. This system failed on 6 of the 9 Pass/Fail Criteria.
