Assessed by Bodycote Warringtonfire (Aus) Pty Ltd
Report No: BWA 23670 up to FRL -/240/240
Tested at Warrington Fire Research to BS 476 Part 20.
4 Hour Fire Integrity
Up to 120 minutes insulation one board thickness, 240 minutes - two board thickness.
Class O Fire Propagation and Class 1 spread of flame specifications available.
Intubatt 1 Application
Used to seal holes in fire compartment walls and floors around services such as suitably
supported air-conditioning ducts, pipe work and electrical cabling against the passage of fire
and can provide up to 4 hours integrity and insulation depending on specification.
Description
Intubatts are large mineral fibre boards, factory coated on both faces with Intucoat mastic
under controlled factory conditions and to precise thickness and specification.
Size: 1200x600x50mm
Colour: Off white
Density of mineral fibre board: 180kg nominal.
Thickness of coating: 1.00mm
Report No: BWA23672 up to FRL -/240/240
Tested at Warrington Fire Research to BS 476 Part 20. Full 4 hours integrity.
1hr at 50mm thickness.
2hrs at 75mm thickness.
4hrs at 100mm thickness.
Application
Used to provide a physically strong fire seal in floors where personnel are likely to walk onto the seal face, or in wall situations where services such as air handling ducts require support.
Firetherm Intucompound is a mixture of inorganic binders, lightweight aggregates and additives. It contains no fibres or asbestos and is halogen free.
It is supplied as a dry powder packed in 20kg bags, which is mixed with water toproduce a pourable or trowellable consistency. After mixing, the product expands creating an excellent seal around pipes and cables, and ensures the whole seal bonds securely against surrounding masonry.
Fire Resistance - 1hr 50mm thickness (for non load bearing situations)
2hrs 75mm thickness (non load bearing)
4hrs 100mm thickness (load bearing - contact Technical Department for further
information)
Colour: Off white - other colours available at extra cost.
Maximum size of floor opening without reinforcement: 900x600mm at 100mm depth.
Loadings up to 1.5kN / m2.
600x600 at 100mm depth 4.5kN / m2 tested at Warrington after a four hour fire exposure.
Asbestos, silicon and halogen free: No toxic fumes or smoke released during a fire.
Tested at Warrington Fire Research with 140kg/m3 density mineral fibre supplied by
Firetherm to provide up to
4 hours integrity and up to 120 minutes insulation, depending
on specification.
A mastic used to coat plain mineral fibre batts of a density exceeding 140kg/m3 in situations where it is more cost effective to install un-coated mineral fibre and later apply Firetherm Intucoat to a wet film thickness (WFT.) of 2mm to create a dry film thickness (DFT.) of 1mm.
A medium viscosity paste containing acrylic emulsion, inert fillers and fungicide. To be used for internal applications only, allow Intucoat to dry for at least 24hrs at better than 10 degrees centigrade and less than 75% RH. before being exposed to moisture. Available in brush, spray or trowel grade.
Colour: White. Other colours available at extra cost to special order.
Can be over painted: Yes.
Toxicity: IMO (International Maritime Organisation) Resolution (16). A653 MSC 61(67)
Lloyds Register of Shipping.
Tack free time: 15-60 minutes depending on temperature , humidity and air movement.
