Firefly Canopies and Downlight Coves are designed specifically to stop the passage of smoke and fire through a fire-rated ceiling, where recessed luminaires or downlights are fitted.
Tests have shown that without the canopy in place, fire and smoke would penetrate through the recessed light fitting in seconds, speading into the void or room above, endangering both lives and property.
The Firefly Canopy or Downlight cover will provide 60 minutes protection, by completely containing the fire and smoke within the cover, whilst at the same time allowing the heat from the light fitting to dissipate through the cover.

FIREFLY R31 STAPLE GUN
Used for jointing of Titan, Plus 60 and Phoenix with the standard Interleaf/Double fold method of seaming with Stainless Steel Staples. This is our most popular and versatile Staple Gun, because its small and sturdy its able to get into the really tight spots and is ideal for use where multiple penetrations pass through the Barrier.

8mm and 12mm Stainless Steel Staples for use with the Firefly R31 Staple Gun.
FIREFLY B16 STAPLE GUN
Used for jointing of the Titan and Plus 60 with the Butt Joint method of seaming with Stainless Steel Staples. The B16 is a lot heavier than the R31, and not quite so versatile, generally used where long drops of barrier need jointing, and very few penetrations are passing through the Barrier.

FIREFLY HAMMER TACKER
Used to temporarily hold multiple sheets of Titan, Plus 60 and Phoenix in place whilst they are stretched and manipulated into position prior the mechanical perimeter fix with Tek screws and galvanised angle. This is an ideal tool to help speed up the install or alternatively allows for a one person application.
