However all that the existing standard requires for BAL-40 to protect against SEVERE EMBER ATTACK is a Heavy Duty sarking with a Flammability Index of 5 or Less, yes that’s correct you did read it right “FLAMMABILITY INDEX” not a “NON-FLAMMABILITY INDEX”. So common sense would suggest that if it’s flammable then it’s unlikely to be capable of protecting against any ember attack, let alone a severe ember attack. |
